EASTENDERS - Shirley confesses...

This week, Shirley finally does what I've been willing her to do - ooh I don't know - the last year or so?

She tells Phil she still loves him! Hurrah!!

And an even bigger 'hurrah' is that Phil, shocked by these turn of events, confesses that he still has feelings for her, too - this is just all perfect! No?

Well, actually, no... As there is the small issue that Phil's current fiancée and woman-he-can-never-say-no to, Sharon, is still lying in a hospital bed, after a horrifying attack. 

While Phil is keeping a vigil at Sharon's bedside, Shirley stays with him, as support.

As the pair bond, Shirley reveals all about what happened when Mick was born all those years ago. 

Fans will already know that Shirley is Mick's mum and not his sister, as everyone else on the Square believes. 

Phil, being the Mitchell that he is, wants revenge when the full extent of Sharon's attack comes to light, which is when Shirley drops her own bombshell. 

'I luv ya Phil...' (I reckon it goes something like that, anyway!)

The real twist in the tale, however, happens when Shirley badgers Phil into being completely honest with her, too. 

That's when he confesses his feelings. And they're all for our Shirl'! 

What does this mean for the pair? 

And where will it leave Sharon, when and if she wakes up?
