It;s going to be a massive summer over in Corrie for Leanne Battersby, as she suffers domestic violence at the hands of a loved one.
But it's the perpetrator who's the biggest shock of all.
Her 12-year-old son - Simon, will be the person causing Leanne's suffering.
The news was revealed just now on This Morning, in a poll where viewers had to choose which shock secret that wanted to hear.
I've got to admit, I was shocked at that one! Sweet little Simon has been through many traumas in his young life.
He lost his biological mum as a baby, his dad, Peter, was an alcoholic, he's survived a house fire and many more upsets. Is all of this the cause for his sudden change in personality, or will something else soon occur to tip the young'un over the edge?
I'm guessing Leanne, who adopted Simon from her marriage to Peter Barlow, will suffer in silence, without telling her partner, Kal, or Simon's grandad, Ken.
It's a hard hitting plot, for sure, which I'm looking forward to seeing pan out.
